Job Description

Cam Clark Automotive Group is seeking a results-driven Accounting/Office Manager to manage and support our Bison Ford dealership, located in Great Falls, MT.

With over 19 dealership and car service locations stretching across Alberta, British Columbia, Montana, and California, Cam Clark Auto Group is an industry leader in providing outstanding customer experience since 1987, while also striving to offer an amazing employee experience!

The Accounting/Office Manager reports to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the dealership. This includes managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supervising the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P. GL and financial reporting.
  • Ensure that monthly financial statements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to the accounting team for continuous career development.
  • Develop new processes and maintain current processes to ensure efficiency within the accounting departments.
  • Prepare financial reports to the senior leadership team.
  • Monitor the financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Support department managers with financial insights to improve profitability and expense control measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance and/or related field.
  • CPA or in the process of completing a professional designation.
  • Minimum of five (5)+ years of experience in a related position, or prior experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and dealership-specific accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
