Job Summary

Vederra is seeking an experienced, highly motivated  Assistant Production/Construction Manager  to support factory operations and help lead production efforts on our multifamily modular housing projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building systems,  especially in multifamily construction, and a willingness to learn and adapt to modular assembly line building processes. This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager in day-to-day oversight of manufacturing operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with trades and supervisors across HVAC, plumbing, fire assembly, and structural teams to maintain construction flow and resolve issues.
• Supervise and support line workers to ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
• Interpret construction documents and plans to ensure accurate execution in a modular manufacturing context.
• Support process improvements, training initiatives, and team development.
• Help manage scheduling, material coordination, and progress reporting across production phases.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proven experience in plant management and production management within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and standards to ensure product excellence.
• Proficient in operations management principles, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
• Ability to fabricate solutions for process improvements or equipment modifications as needed.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing production data and making informed decisions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in multifamily residential construction (required).
• Strong working knowledge of building systems, including  HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression , fire assemblies, and structural framing.
• Previous experience in a  manufacturing or factory environment strongly preferred.
• Willingness to learn  modular construction techniques and adapt traditional building knowledge to a factory-based process.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural and MEP drawings.
• Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and solve problems on the fly.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year (based on experience)
