Salary Range: $84,000 - $108,000

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Work Hours: Between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

General Job Description:

This position is primarily responsible for successfully modeling and coordinating projects from start to finish using the latest technologies, Virtual Construction Standards, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform detailing for Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing systems.
• Optimize layout/routing, minimize fitting usage, and identify design flaws.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and risk reduction.
• Interpret and extract data from contract documents (plans, specs, submittals).
• Model and coordinate in 3D using Revit and CAD tools.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and collaborate with BIM and management teams.
• Generate layout point files for Trimble and Topcon.
• Support other detailers as needed.
• Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders including PMs, foremen, fabrication shops, and external trades.
• Manage model uploads, logs, RFIs, and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant field experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing trades.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in:
  • Autodesk Revit, Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue & Docs
  • Bluebeam Revu, BOX, Smartsheet
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Forms)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Applicable building codes (local, state, international)

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Experience with Dynamo, Forge, Python, Revit API, C#, VB.net, F#
• Trade school education
• Spanish language proficiency
