Position Title: Lab Tech II

Location: Lafayette, CO

Pay: $30-$40/hour

6-month contract-to-hire

Overview: The Electrical Engineering team is seeking a Lab Tech II to help create a next generation product. As a member of the Surgical Business Unit at one of the biggest medical device companies in the world, you will be in working in a lab environment alongside engineers to gather, test, and fix hardware.

Top Skills:

• Proficient with lab tools including scopes, impedance analyzers, function generators
• Proficient with electronics soldering, including fine pitch parts, QFN parts, and BGA parts
• They do electronic hardware prototype stuff -they have to modify and fix hardware daily. They need techs to do that for them.
• Soldering irons, heat and lead from the solder.
• "Anything you would find in the electronics rework bench"
• Experience with Cadence ORCAD and Allegro/PCBA tools
• Experience with LabView, Embedded device programing
• Regulated industry experience: Medical, Automotive, Aerospace
• Familiarity with shop tools necessary to create test fixtures: drill press, mill, lathe, 3D printer
• Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports

Day to day:

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; adjusts, modifies, and replaces as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineers on the next generation product.

Team Overview: This individual will working alongside 10 Electrical engineers in a lab.
