Opportunity

Skybound is looking for a Brand Social Media Coordinator, Editorial . The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving revenue for Skybound Editorial (including comics, graphic novels, books, and related products) across all channels.

The Brand Social Media Coordinator will contribute to the development and execution of the Editorial social media roadmap and will further develop Skybound’s comic book and graphic novel social media footprint.

This is a temporary role with a start date no later than June 2 and ending December 17. This role will be expected to work during west coast business hours for 4-5 days per week at an average of 30hrs/week.

Reports: This position will report to the Vice President of Brand (Editorial)

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Independently executes day-to-day Social Media strategy for Editorial launches.
  • Drive best-in-class development and execution of promotional plans for priority titles and initiatives.
  • Lead day to day planning and execution of recurring social media content for Editorial frontlist and backlist product.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of social media copy and shareables.
  • Collaborate with VP, Brand on influencer marketing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in social media, preferably within the book publishing industry.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of trends within the comics and general publishing industries.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels within the organization, as well as with external partners, vendors, and talent.
  • Strong strategic thinker, able to articulate goals and present collaborative solutions to achieve them.
  • A self-starter who can work independently, pay close attention to detail, and manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Must have experience and demonstrated success with live events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Office Suite required.

Job Type: Temporary

Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 hourly

  • Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
  • The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees
  • Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
