WHO WE ARE HIRING? A Business Development Assistant to support our Sales Team and grow into a Sales role.

Alliant Consulting’s Business Development Assistant will play a key role in driving sales operations and supporting the company’s growth initiatives. This entry-level position is focused on qualifying inbound leads, conducting outreach research, maintaining CRM data, supporting event logistics, and assisting in the development of sales proposals and materials. In addition to contributing to core business development efforts, this role provides administrative support to the Business Development Manager and coordinates small-scale marketing activities. Ideal candidates are highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a mission-driven sales and consulting environment.

WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE? Here’s what you’d do:

  • Sales Support
  • Conduct research on target companies and build prospecting lists across various markets.
  • Create proposals using Pandadocs; adjust proposals to reflect changes to MSA, pricing or other Terms and Conditions; finalize Pandadocs when deals are completed; adjust templates and build content blocks to improve processes.
  • Complete various vendor forms sent to Alliant by potential clients.
  • Maintain client information in CRM (HubSpot); communicate with clients via email as needed.
  • Generate KPI reporting for Business Development Manager.
  • Field inbound client leads, qualify them, and provide a smooth handoff to the Business Development team.
  • Assist in outbound outreach via email and LinkedIn using templates.
  • Maintain Alliant’s monthly webinar series through Eventbrite to ensure customer satisfaction and improve sales of the trainings.

  • Events Support
  • Lead and maintain events calendar.
  • Research and obtain cost estimates for future marketing events including travel, hotel, ticket, and booth costs; obtain information on participating as an event speaker.
  • Research and present potential membership costs and advertising costs as part of marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate events and details to fully prepare sales and marketing team to effectively participate in marketing events.

  • Marketing Support
  • Maintain company LinkedIn accounts; respond to inquiries submitted via LinkedIn; engage with other groups’ content; maintain and update descriptions and company page.
  • Create weekly executive summary with input from the team.
  • Manage marketing budget; maintain Excel document and file receipts.
  • Research to assist the marketing team, e.g., market research on attendees at relevant conferences, research on potential company awards, and research on potential partnerships.

  • Office Support
  • Answer phone calls for new inquiries; completing call forms for sales team.
  • Build slide decks and assist with meeting preparation when necessary.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as sending thank you cards to clients after proposal reviews, writing holiday cards, helping with general office support, as needed.

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills. Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Highly organized and flexible to changes that may arise on a daily basis.
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines and manage the workload required by staff and management.
  • Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
  • Maintains staff confidentiality. Working with management may entail confidential matters. NDA may be required.
  • Proven high level of proficiency with use of e-mail and the ability to navigate the Internet for research.
  • Extensive use and proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs. Must have a proven ability of mastered proficiency of Word and Excel to navigate reports.
  • Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  • Desire to grow into a Sales role as the Company grows.

  • Education and Experience :

  • Minimum: High School Diploma. Preferred: Associate’s Degree or Higher in Business, Marketing or Areas Related
  • Highly Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint; familiarity with Pandadocs a plus but not required.
  • Sales experience a plus but not required.

  • Depending on demonstrated experience, salary is negotiable, ranging between $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year, plus merit increases and performance bonuses.
