About the Role

We're seeking a sharp, scrappy, and highly driven operator to step into a BizOps Manager role, reporting directly to the CEO. This is not a glorified EA gig - this is a true startup operator seat, where your work will directly influence how we build, sell, grow, and scale.

As a company, we build operations software for frontline teams: restaurant staff, maintenance crews, retail associates - people who make things run in the real world. Our platform helps multi-location businesses manage tasks, compliance, and maintenance efficiently, with a growing customer base in hospitality, retail, QSR, and convenience.

We're at an inflection point - Product-Led Growth (PLG) has taken us far, and now we’re layering on structured GTM, scaling our team, and preparing for our next fundraise. We need someone who thrives in ambiguity, executes relentlessly, and wants to play across GTM, Product, Finance, and Strategy in an early-stage, venture-backed environment.

What You'll Do

🌱 Growth & GTM Strategy

  • Partner with the CEO to refine and scale outbound sales, marketing enablement, and channel strategy
  • Own special GTM projects: lead funnels, cold outreach programs, sales process improvements, retention diagnostics, etc.
  • Use HubSpot (and AI tooling layered on top) to create and optimize outbound workflows, tracking, and attribution
  • Evaluate and manage external GTM vendors and RevOps contractors

🧠 Product Roadmap & Strategy

  • Drive cross-functional execution on the product roadmap alongside our Chicago-based Engineering Lead
  • Identify customer pain points and translate them into product requirements or low-lift GTM fixes
  • Facilitate weekly product sprint meetings and alignment across design, engineering, and go-to-market

💰 Investor Relations, Finance & M&A

  • Prepare board updates, KPI reporting, and fundraising materials for an upcoming round
  • Build and maintain financial models in Equals / Excel, supporting capital allocation and scenario planning
  • Interface directly with our investors and potentially lead diligence conversations for M&A or fundraising

🛠️ Internal Operations

  • Help run point on hiring, onboarding, and vendor management
  • Clean up and own internal systems (Equals, HubSpot, Notion, etc.)
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and improve them ruthlessly

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategy, finance, or operating roles at a fast-paced tech startup, investment bank, or software-focused private equity fund (e.g. Serent, Vista, Insight, etc.)
  • Strong preference for someone from an analyst/associate program in PE, VC, or strategy consulting
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, early-stage environments where scrappiness and execution beat playbooks
  • Familiarity with sales & marketing stacks (HubSpot, Apollo, HighTouch), finance tooling (Equals, Excel), and AI workflow tools
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills—comfortable interfacing with engineers, designers, investors, and customers
  • Ambition to grow into a strategic leadership role (C-suite track) at a scaling B2B SaaS company
