Insight Global is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join one of their federal contracting clients in Norfolk, VA. The selected candidate will oversee multiple projects from start through completion and should have experience working as a project manager on federal construction projects. Additionally, the individual will oversee overall project quality and will work closely with other team members to ensure daily progress to meet the needs of the schedule. This is a hybrid position, however, will require visits to the nearby worksites.
Additional responsibilities include:
-Plan and organize complex projects independently
-Monitor daily progress of project work packages and activities to meet the needs of the project schedule
-Develop project schedule and SOV
-Provide detailed updates to stakeholders
-Organize and maintain documentation, artifacts, trackers, and reports
-Oversee definable features of work submittal packages with superintendent and project engineer -Create and implement maintenance and continuous improvement efforts to project management processes and procedures
-Engage in continuous improvement projects/tasks
-Oversee review submittal data on the product specifications, scopes of work, plans, and engineer reports to ensure the finished product meets the quality and reliability expectancy of the client
-Develop the RFI process to ensure that all RFIs are properly logged in a timely manner
-Support testing programs to verify that all materials and installations are specified
-Complete mandatory “milestone” inspections and tests in coordination with the site QC ensuring contract compliance
-Oversee plans, coordination and the project delivery as designed to ensure production of projects are consistent with the established standards
-Perform project site audits for all stages in production process and inspect materials for specifications/contract compliance
-Effectively interact with NAVFAC personnel
Requirements:
-7+ years' experience working on federal construction projects greater than $500,000
-Strong background creating relationships with federal personnel, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
-Experience supporting or creating a project schedule using MS Project or Primavera (P6)
-Ability to commute to nearby worksites in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA

-CPR/First Aid certifications
-Current or eligible to obtain a security clearance
