Spherion is assisting a local client with their search for a Construction Superintendent in Sioux Falls, SD. The Superintendent will coordinate, plan, and supervise project field activities daily for the projects assigned & meet with PM to plan and review material, labor and equipment needs. Will also conduct preliminary job site visits for job preparation, meet with manager and be responsible for training workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.

Salary $65-90k/year DOE will go higher for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
-Prepare meeting agendas and 3 weeks forecast of construction schedules
-Generate daily reports on the job site
-Manage employees and equipment efficiently
-Coordinate all daily and weekly activities on a commercial job site
-Ensure the job site is a safe working environment and that all OSHA guidelines and standards are being followed
-Ensure that the plans and specifications are being followed on the job site
-Coordinate and facilitate pre-installation meetings with subcontractors on the job site
-Prepare weekly meeting note
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements:
-5+ years of experience in commercial projects ranging from $2-$25 million
-Must have strong organizational skills, be detail orientated and conscientious
-Ability to foster positive teamwork relationships with fellow employees, subcontractors, and suppliers
-Knowledge of specifications and technical details of a commercial construction projects
-Must be a self-starter and with an analytical mind set
-Ability to use professionalism and ethical judgment in all areas of the job
-Computer proficiency with experience in MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Project, and Prolog
-Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and in-house field personnel
-Maintain safety, quality, and production daily
-Proficiency in concrete, carpentry, steel erection and pre-cast construction
-Ability to maintain project schedule and budget.
-Must have the ability to self-perform all tasks in commercial construction if necessary
