About the Company

Insight Global is looking to hire an Electrical Installer for a large client in Austin, TX. This person will be responsible for going to a project site every few days. They will be running pipe and wires, mounting devices and panels, and dealing with low voltage.

About the Role

This role involves working on various electrical installations and ensuring compliance with local and national codes.

Responsibilities

• Installing raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.
• Lay out electrical controls installation to provide lowest total installed cost.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment as needed.
• May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
• Determine and validate final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system (i.e. chillers, boilers, roof top units, etc.).
• Check out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed (i.e. volt meters, handheld testers, etc.).
• Provides feedback to Engineering team on changes and keep as-built drawings current.
• Resolve job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalates concerns to management as required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of electrical experience

Required Skills

• Knowledge of low voltage
• Experience running wires and pipes

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HVAC controls
• BAS experience
• Commercial construction project experience.
