Must Haves:

• Experience estimating Doors, Frames, and Hardware (DFH) projects
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or related field (not required)
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to learn estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Emullion®, OST®)
• Self-motivated with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Ability to read construction plans and understand local building codes and regulations
• Commitment to high personal and professional standards
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Willingness to sign a Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure, and Non-Solicitation Agreement

Position Summary:

A rapidly growing construction services company is seeking an experienced DFH Estimator to join a Pre-Construction team in Woburn, MA. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing accurate, high-quality estimates. The Estimator will support preconstruction efforts for Doors, Frames, and Hardware projects, ensuring proposals and bids are comprehensive and precise.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review all project documents, plans, and specifications
• Quantify all DFH products according to specifications, door schedules, and floor plans
• Build hardware sets within estimating software and request material pricing based on quantities
• Prepare detailed proposal letters including clarifications and qualifications to clearly define included and excluded scope
• Review proposals with Preconstruction Manager before submission and participate in internal and client scope review meetings
• Communicate with clients throughout the estimating process and follow up on submitted proposals
• Attend weekly schedule/status meetings with the Preconstruction team
• Participate in internal product and process training
• Engage in career advancement initiatives, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities within the market

Education and Experience:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or related field (not required)
