Field (Vendor Relations) Manager

Metro Detroit | Hybrid- Two days onsite and the rest will be travel to vendor locations

Up to $85k base salary + Commission + Profit Sharing

As a Field Manager, you will play a key role in supporting company growth by expanding relationships with prominent, multi-location clients. This position involves coordinating vendor partnerships, delivering outstanding service standards, and meeting strategic objectives. The right candidate will bring expertise in working with subcontractors across multiple industries and will excel in a combination of remote and on-site work environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster and nurture connections with nationwide clients across diverse service areas, including facilities management, landscaping solutions, and snow/ice mitigation services.
  • Cultivate vendor alliances to guarantee exceptional service outcomes.
  • Build and maintain professional rapport with influential customer contacts and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—spanning operations, sales, and leadership—to align with client expectations and performance benchmarks.
  • Achieve designated targets for business growth, profitability, and strategic objectives within assigned accounts.
  • Spearhead account strategy initiatives by defining long-term goals, financial benchmarks, and significant milestones.
  • Serve as the go-to liaison for allocated accounts, addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Partner with sales and operational teams to refine client interactions and promote loyalty.
  • Engage in industry gatherings, networking events, and professional organizations to remain informed on sector developments.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and implement continuous improvement practices as appropriate.
  • Step in as needed to perform site-specific tasks to uphold service standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Background in overseeing field operations, managing vendors, or coordinating subcontractors within industries such as construction, facilities management, landscaping, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing and maintaining robust relationships with both clients and vendors.
  • Proven ability to analyze challenges and operate autonomously in remote settings.
  • Outstanding skills in communication, negotiation, and organizational management.
  • Availability for regular travel within the assigned region.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management platforms is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
