Industrial Engineer – W2 Contract | San Antonio, TX

Location: San Antonio, TX 78221 – Onsite Only

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (OT mainly Fridays; occasional Saturdays)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a solid background in a manufacturing environment , specifically with hands-on expertise in line balance and process set-up .

This role will focus on establishing and improving manufacturing processes, developing layouts, supporting tooling installation, and translating engineering concepts into efficient production operations.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Engineering Degree – REQUIRED
• (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred)
• Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• STRONG hands-on experience in:
• Line balancing & cycle time optimization
• Manufacturing process set-up
• PFMEA, process mapping, standard work
• AUTOCAD experience (2D & 3D layouts)
• Manufacturing tooling & equipment installation experience
• Ability to perform physical measurements for layouts
• Proficiency with MS Office for analysis and presentations

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience in Automotive or Truck Manufacturing Industry
• Experience with Standard Pro software
• Bilingual: English / Spanish

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support line balance activities to optimize production flow
• Establish and improve manufacturing process set-up for new and existing lines
• Develop and update layouts using AUTOCAD 2D & 3D
• Collaborate with engineers to define design and process specifications
• Support purchase orders for tooling and equipment
• Create technical drawings aligned with engineering standards
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project reviews
• Support prototype and pilot build activities
• Track and close action items using problem follow-up sheets
• Manage multiple engineering projects with competing deadlines
• Provide on-site manufacturing floor support as required
