Responsibilities

• Safely drive crews to, from, and between worksites using Yardnique company vehicles and trailers.
• Execute landscape installation activities as per instructions, ensuring projects meet Yardnique's quality and industry standards.
• Maintain safety and security for yourself, team members, and customers on job sites.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and follow supervisors' instructions on assigned projects.
• Utilize knowledge of planting and sodding to read landscape plans and apply industry-standard techniques for plant and tree installation.
• Operate track loaders and perform basic maintenance of landscape equipment and tools using grading skills.
• Evaluate and operate irrigation systems as assigned, using irrigation knowledge and skills.
• Communicate effectively with crew leaders, customers, and other crew members, resolving problems with urgency and sound judgment.
• Build positive relationships with customers, managers, and other employees.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with 3+ years of driving experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in landscape installation or related tasks.
• Basic knowledge of irrigation, grading, planting, and sod techniques.
• Effective communication and courteous interaction skills.
• Experience with skid-steers, compact track trenchers, and excavators (preferred).
• Irrigation knowledge and experience (preferred).

Work Environment

Employees may be subjected to strenuous work in adverse weather conditions, with exposure to dirt, water, chemicals, and noise.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods.
• Reaching overhead with hands and arms to hold, climb, balance, and load/unload.
• Handling tools and feeling for objects above and below ground.
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment to complete tasks.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
