We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The candidate must be a "technology early adopter" who is excited to use AI in evolving ways to increase the quality, speed, and efficiency of work product. This position will provide critical legal support across multiple facets of our organization. The ideal candidate will have had exposure to litigation, compliance, corporate maintenance, commercial agreements, and employment law. Our team covers the full range of general legal matters, contributing directly to our Company's innovation and business success across the globe.

Reporting

This role reports to the General Counsel but may involve supporting more senior attorneys from time to time. The candidate can work from any time zone, and hours are generally flexible.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Utilize AI to assist with the preparation and negotiate various agreements, including commercial, vendor, leasing, employment, supply, and licensing.
• Utilize AI to assist in monitoring legal compliance with evolving laws and regulations on a worldwide basis.
• Utilize AI to develop support and training programs intended to improve compliance posture.
• Assist in managing outside counsel to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
• Seek opportunities to utilize AI to reduce our dependence on outside counsel.
• Support strategic initiatives such as global expansion, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Work with the team on general business legal issues, including data privacy compliance, entity formation, subsidiary maintenance, and disputes.
• Assist with litigation as required.

Qualifications and Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated experience with, and interest in, artificial intelligence as applicable to the provision of legal services.
• 3-5 years of legal experience.
• Preferably experience in both private practice and in-house, but not critical.
• Strong leadership potential.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and legal advisory skills.
• Creative, solution-oriented thinker with strong legal judgment and risk assessment skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global operations and meetings.
• Desire to leverage evolving technology solutions to advance the way legal services can be delivered.
