Position: Maintenance Specialist

Location: 1 Kaumualii Highway, Waimea, HI 96796

Duration: 12 Months

Work Type: Onsite

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $24.00/hr

Overview:

We’re looking for a Maintenance Specialist to help maintain and repair facilities and equipment across three sites on Kauai island. This includes fixing processing equipment, handling building repairs, cleaning, setting up field tents, and supporting improvement projects. Safety and quality are top priorities.

Key Duties:

• Safely perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, changing light bulbs, and wall installations.
• Service and troubleshoot processing equipment (dryers, shellers, production lines).
• Set up and take down break tents in the fields.
• Clean, powerwash, and keep work areas organized.
• Operate forklifts and company trucks (if qualified).
• Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
• Join training programs and continuous improvement projects.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to work shifts and outdoors in tropical conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Forklift operation knowledge is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
