Job Title: Operator (Contract – 4–6 Months)

Location: Henderson, KY 42420

Schedule:

• Now–March: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Starting March: 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM) for ~7 weeks during peak season; overtime allowed
• Contract Length: 4–6 months
• Interview Process: One onsite interview (1-and-done)
• Positions Available: 4 openings
• Start Date: Early new year; offers made before Christmas

Overview

We are seeking dependable Operators to support loading operations and perform general facility operation and maintenance work at Non-Union Distribution Facilities. This role involves handling dry fertilizer trucks, anhydrous ammonia trucks, equipment operation, routine maintenance, and safe dock/barge work. Candidates must follow strict safety guidelines and be able to work in industrial outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely load dry fertilizer trucks and anhydrous ammonia trucks
• Operate and maintain equipment at the distribution facility
• Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions
• Participate in safety training and meetings
• Demonstrate reliable, team-oriented behavior and willingness to learn
• Train and demonstrate competency in required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Operate mobile equipment such as skid-steer, high reach, and other heavy equipment (training provided through progression program)
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and loading stations
• Work safely on docks and docked barges, including opening and closing barge operations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Use basic computer systems for documentation and reporting

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Entry-level chemical or industrial operations experience accepted
• 1–2 years of industrial, manufacturing, or mobile equipment experience preferred
• Must pass a background check with no felonies (required to obtain TWIC card)
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required
• If not already held, must be willing to obtain before start (client may assist)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Must provide own steel-toe boots ; all other PPE provided
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Lift up to 0–25 lbs occasionally
• Climb stairs and work at heights
• Distinguish colors and patterns
• Use fine motor skills
• Read and communicate in basic English
• Wear a respirator when required
• Ability to hear and see with or without correction
• Able to work required rotating and 12-hour shifts
• Must safely perform all job duties without posing risk to self or others
