Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the optical department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service

• Manage inventory and maintain product displays to maximize sales and customer satisfaction

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively

• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care and accurate eyewear prescriptions

• Train and mentor staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and patient interaction skills

• Implement marketing strategies to promote new lens products and frame collections

• Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing insights for improvement and growth

• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance the optical offerings

• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.

The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The team prioritizes a personalized, high-touch patient care model, making experience with specialty services, such as dry eye treatments, vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses, a plus. The benefits of joining the team include:

• Competitive annual base salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000.

• Potential for an annual bonus between $5,000 and $10,000 based on performance.

• Generous paid time off, including 3 weeks of vacation and 60 hours of personal time for school conferences or medical appointments.

• A manageable patient load of approximately 2-3 patients per hour, with a supportive structure that includes two doctors and additional staff dedicated to patient care and research.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading teams, customer service, and sales

• Prior experience in optical sales and dispensing

• Demonstrated clinical professionalism and excellence in patient care

• Proven experience in training and mentoring team members
