Key Requirements:
1.Education & Experience
1.1)Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fields.
1.2)Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air freight forwarding, preferably in overseas sales, business development, or international logistics.
- 3)Proven track record in client acquisition, sales growth, or managing overseas agent networks.
- Industry Knowledge
2.1)Strong understanding of air cargo operations, Incoterms, customs regulations, and international shipping processes.
2.2)Familiarity with IATA regulations, global air routes, and freight forwarding documentation (AWB, CI/PL, etc.).
- 3)Experience with e-commerce logistics, express air freight, or special cargo (perishables, dangerous goods)is a plus.
- Skills & Competencies
3.1)Excellent sales & negotiation skills– able to close deals with clients and negotiate rates with airlines/agents.
3.2)Strong communication in English(written & spoken) – essential for global client & partner interactions.
- 3)Fluency in other languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, etc.)is a competitive advantage.
- Ability to build & manage overseas agent networks and maintain long-term partnerships.
4.1)Problem-solving skills– able to handle shipment issues (delays, customs, documentation) efficiently.
- 2)Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to fast-paced international logistics environments.
- Technical & Tools
5.1)Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), logistics software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
5.2)Experience with freight management systems (FMS) or TMS is a plus.
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel internationally(for client meetings, trade shows, or agent visits).
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales/target deadlines. Key Responsibilities:
1.Business Development
1.1)Identify and develop new international clients (importers/exporters, manufacturers, e-commerce businesses, etc.) to expand air freight forwarding services.
1.2)Build and maintain long-term partnerships with overseas agents, airlines, and key stakeholders.
- 13)Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitors, and customer needs in target regions.
- Sales & Account Management
2.1)Promote air cargo services (import/export, express, charter, etc.) to potential clients, achieving sales targets.
2.2)Negotiate contracts, rates, and service terms with clients and overseas partners.
- 3)Manage existing client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Overseas Agent & Network Management
3.1)Recruit, train, and oversee overseas agents to strengthen the global service network.
3.2)Coordinate with international partners on operations, pricing, and customer service.
- 3)Resolve cross-border issues (customs, delays, documentation) in collaboration with agents.
- Operational Coordination
4.1)Liaise with internal teams (operations, customs, logistics) to ensure smooth shipment execution.
4.2)Monitor shipment status, provide updates to clients, and handle exceptions proactively.
- 3)Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Reporting & Strategy
5.1)Prepare sales reports, market insights, and performance metrics for management.
5.2)Propose strategies to improve market share, service efficiency, and profitability.
Other Duties
Attend international trade shows, industry events, and client meetings as required.
Stay updated on air freight industry developments (e.g., IATA regulations, new routes).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, or related fields.
3+ years of experience in air freight forwarding, preferably in overseas sales.
Strong network with overseas agents/airlines is a plus.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
