Project Executive - Data Center Construction

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: $200,000 - $230,000+ (DOE), plus performance bonus

Overview

A leading national construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Executive to oversee a large-scale, mission-critical data center project in Atlanta, Georgia. This senior leadership role is responsible for the successful delivery of a complex, high-value data center project, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and client-facing leadership from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data center or other mission-critical construction, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership and oversight for a major data center project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for project performance, including safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction
• Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction staff
• Oversee preconstruction planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management
• Collaborate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project success
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges
• Support business development efforts and contribute to long-term client relationships within the data center market

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant experience in data center and/or mission-critical projects
• Proven experience leading large, complex projects as a Project Executive or Senior Project Manager
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Atlanta, GA
