This is a full-time leadership role offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, along with performance-based bonus potential. The ideal candidate is passionate about property operations, skilled in leading teams, and dedicated to delivering an exceptional resident experience. • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property to identify areas needing maintenance or vendor attention
  • Act as the main liaison for current residents regarding lease terms, payment issues, community concerns, and retention efforts
  • Maintain accurate records of building systems and resident information using property management software to support long-term operations.
  • Oversee staff development, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Stay up to date on local housing regulations, ensuring the property remains compliant and operates within all legal standards
  • Respond to after-hours building issues as necessary to ensure continuity of service and resident satisfaction

Qualifications of the Property Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing large-scale multifamily assets, including new lease-ups
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities with a history of building and retaining high-performing teams
  • Must hold an active Illinois real estate broker license or at minimum a leasing agent license
  • Proficient in property management software (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Excel
  • Confident decision-maker with strong communication skills and a resident-first mindset aligned with ownership goals.
  • Solid understanding of financial performance metrics, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance scheduling, and vendor coordination
  • Experience with affordable housing regulations is a plus
  • Willingness to respond to emergencies or urgent matters outside regular business hours
