Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Department: Quality Assurance

Supervisor: Director of Operations

Location: Palestine

Pay Type: Salaried Position

8- Hour Shift, Monday – Friday

*Position Summary*

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining systems and processes necessary to insure that our products meet acceptable quality standards and customer requirements. Providing direction, training and supervision to quality staff. Oversee inspection of tractors and implements received, identifying quality problems with products received from vendors and report significant quality issues. Investigate reported quality problems experienced by our customers. Follow up on plans to improve quality. Provide regular reports of quality related metrics to headquarters. This position reports to the Technical Director, LS Tractor USA, LLC.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Quality Control. Establish and implement processes and procedures for inspecting incoming shipments of tractors and attachments to identify quality issues.
  • Develop processes and procedures to identify and correct quality issues during the assembly process.
  • Establish procedures for final inspection and testing of assembled tractors prior to shipping.
  • Selecting, training and supervising quality inspectors and staff and monitoring their performance.
  • Provide regular reports to headquarters of quality issues discovered and work with providers to improve quality of products.
  • Investigate reports of quality issues from customers, work with Service, Sales and Warranty departments to resolve these issues.
  • Provide regular reports to headquarters of off quality, warranty rates, quality issues and other quality related metrics

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience Required

  • Four year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar field.
  • Five years’ experience in Quality Control.
  • Ten years’ experience with agricultural or construction machinery industries.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers, suppliers and other departments in stressful situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions quickly concerning Quality issues.
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in the use of computer programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
