Senior Financial & Accounting Analyst

Fort Worth, TX - remote flex schedule

**Candidates must be local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area**

Vaco has partnered with one of our global, $2B distribution clients to onboard an Analyst to take on a blended role in the organization. This a 60/40 accounting/finance opportunity - looking for strong accounting acumen and someone who's worn different hats; can ensure that the P&Ls are tying out, reviewing entries, dealing with consolidations, variance analysis, inventory adjustments and helping out with forecasting, analytics and budgeting.

Compensation: $100K + bonus

Day-to-Day

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A and business leaders.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with auditors.
• Support cash flow analysis, working capital management, and balance sheet optimization.
• Partner with operational and department leaders to understand cost drivers and improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to financial analysis and planning.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling a plus.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
