Senior Platform Engineer - Perl Python Linux MySql

About the role , you will be a collaborative enterprise support team player, with ability to influence, communicate and solve problems effectively, whilst supporting a fast-paced dynamic environment. As a key contributor in providing expertise and guidance, while supporting the implementation of these enterprise tools. The position is highly visible across all internal business units and this candidate will be working closely with various business verticals at any given time supporting teams such as Product, Development, QA, Operations and Project management while supporting a wide range of technologies and tools.

About the team , our team is responsible for implementing, migrating, and supporting a variety of enterprise wide SDLC tools company wide.

Requirements

• Possess current and extensive proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience in developing database applications utilizing MySQL and MS SQL server for Windows.
• Experienced in deploying and customizing open-source software solutions.
• Possess knowledge in supporting MySQL, Linux, Java, and Apache.
• Experienced in managing/support Cloud features
• Experienced in managing Repo-CI/CD Solutions (GitHub, Jfrog. Maven etc.)
• Competent in security software development technologies and processes.
• Familiar with network troubleshooting tools.
• Possess Github profile / account - Contributing to open source etc.
• Inquisitive mindset/Pro-active approach to situations-solutions/Self Motivated

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts using languages like Python, Perl, or JavaScript to streamline operations and reduce manual work.
• Developing and supporting applications using MySQL and SQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Administering Linux-based systems, Java services, and Apache web servers.
• Managing and supporting cloud environments and infrastructure services.
• Building and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, JFrog, and Maven.
• Ensuring smooth and secure software delivery processes.
• Implement security best practices in development and operations.
• Using monitoring and network troubleshooting tools to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Providing hands-on technical support for systems and applications during US Eastern Time hours. Participating in incident response, root cause analysis, and performance tuning to ensure system uptime/reliability
