Job Description

Senior Test Engineer

X4 Life Sciences are partnered with a leading medical device company to recruit a Senior Test Engineer. Our client designs and manufactures advanced mobility and accessibility products that improve quality of life for users across the nation. They are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead verification and validation efforts for their electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and document test protocols for components, assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Design test cases, methodologies, and acceptance criteria to validate product performance and lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain best-in-class test capabilities, including automated test equipment, data logging, and analytics.
  • Conduct functional testing on mechanical components, assemblies, and electrical/control circuits.
  • Integrate Design for Test (DFT) principles into new product development and engineering change processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on product failures and develop solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design engineering experience, with recent experience in a lead test engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with HALT, environmental, and vibration testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of product and test certification standards and agencies (UL, ETL, TUV, CSA, etc.).
  • FDA medical device compliance knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Creo)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
