SHOP HAND

Location: West Valley City, UT

Reports to: Shop Manager

Compensation: $18 - $20/hr

Your Role:

As a shop hand, you’ll support daily operations in a clean, modern machine shop environment. This is a great opportunity to start your career in advanced manufacturing, learn from skilled machinists, and build valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist machinists with material handling, machine setup, and basic shop tasks
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Perform basic equipment cleaning and routine maintenance tasks
• Help inspect parts and prepare them for shipping for further processing
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
• Support other shop duties as needed to keep production running smoothly

What You’ll Bring:

• Completion of machining, manufacturing technology, or related trade program preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Dependable, punctual, and a positive team player
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and understand basic measurement equipment
• Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting is a plus but not required
