Are you a social media guru with a knack for making content go viral? Are you skilled at creating scroll-stopping content that feels fresh, engaging, and on-trend? As our Social Media Marketing Strategist, you’ll be a driving force behind Exploding Kittens’ online presence. You’ll be dreaming up and creating platform-optimized short- form videos, crafting witty copy, and engagingour community in authentic and creative ways. You’ll get to play with our brand’s fun, quirky identity, while constantly experimenting with new formats and strategies to keep our content fresh and on the cutting edge.

Whether it’s launching a new campaign, hopping on the latest trend, or working on large-scale collaborations with top-tier influencers, you’ll be the go-to for bringing our games, and our brand’s playful personality, to life. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, self-starting social media whiz to join a fast-growing team and make an impact.

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Develop engaging, shareable, platform-optimized static and video content for Exploding Kittens’ socialmedia, including conceptualizing, scripting, producing, and shooting short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
  • Foster on-brand conversations with the audiencein post and ad commentswhile monitoring user-generated content (UGC) for engagement and reposting opportunities.
  • Schedule, publish, and analyze content across all social media platforms, tracking outliers for potential paid amplification and providing regular insights- driven reporting to sales and marketing teams. Cadence is to be determined by the Marketing leadership.
  • Collaborate on large-scale Influencer campaigns, including partnerships with creators and scripted content featuring our brand’s characters.
  • Refine short-form video strategy through data analysis, conducting content experiments, and iterating on successful formats; develop creative briefs for various content initiatives and lead influencer campaigns and UGC-style shoots with guidance from the marketing strategy of Exploding Kittens.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • In Los Angeles office 3x a week.
  • Fully immersed in TikTok, with a personal following and/or a proven track record of growing and managing an account.
  • Skilled at creating engaging short-form video content and strong grasp of what makes trends and products go viral, especially from a consumer product perspective.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging trends on social platforms and ability to apply them to a consumer product brand. Excited about being on the cutting edge and exploring new trend applications.
  • Understanding of what type of content works for paid ads versus organic content, and how the goals of each may differ.
  • Strong social media-style video production and editing skills, with familiarity in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CaptCut.
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills. Commitment to always analyzing results and iterating to improve performance.
  • An entrepreneurial, collaborative, and proactive mindset, and ability to problem solve and keep a positive attitude when faced with obstacles.
