Our client – a growing Food processing company with multiple plants in the US for perishable Ready to Eat packages, needs a Plant Project Engineer on a Temp-to-Hire basis at their plant site in Carson, CA. Excellent hourly Pay rate with an option to become a permanent, direct employee after 6 months.

Job Title : Temp to Hire - Project Engineer - Food Plant
Location: Carson, CA. (on-site role) Overnight Travel: 5%
Duration: Initially a contract job for 6 months with a chance to convert to a permanent direct role.
Relocation: Prefer local, or someone who can relocate on his own expenses and stay long term.
Compensation: Pay rate of $65 - $85 per Hour Paid weekly (this includes all expenses)

Group Info:
This reports to the VP of Operations and Engineering at their Corporate HQ site, but will be assigned to the CA plant and work under the site Leader - VP Operations.
This site is in a 100K Sq ft building with around 350 people. This plant produces perishable ready to eat food packages like Hummus, Sauces, Burrito and other specialty items.
SUMMARY:
This engineer will handle multiple plant projects concurrently worth $2 - $4 Million. The projects are for Facilities, Utilities infrastructure including high volume industrial Refrigeration systems (Freon based) for food Storage and also for Food processing/packaging systems.
This engineer will support the Operations group and work in cross functional teams from Engineering, quality, maintenance production, etc. This is a hands-on engineer role. The right person will be an all-rounder.
Note 1: The right person will be only from the Food industry (NOT from BioPharma/Medical device)
