Production Team Job Description

Ornua Ingredients North America custom formulates and manufactures a complete line of pasteurized process cheese products. We are looking for an energetic, fast-paced, hardworking and reliable employee to join our Production team!

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8:30 pm - 6:30 am, overtime as necessary

Wage: $20 + 15% shift differential

Essential Functions:

Open barrels, block, or bags of cheese and other ingredients
Ensure recycling and garbages in plant are emptied to allow for smooth production
Weigh the ingredients to the specified amount per individual batch sheets
Use knives and wires to cut and trim the ingredients to the correct weights
Place bags of cheese into boxes and send through to get taped and boxed
Stack packed boxes of cheese onto a pallet
Transfer ingredients from the scale to the pick-up tables
Heavy lifting and the ability to load cheese into grinders is required
Maintain a clean and safe work areas
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Solid work history is a must
Basic math, reading and communications skills

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10-hour days)
Ability to talk, hear and carry out directions in a safe and efficient manner
Ability work with hands and to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and occasionally up to 100lbs
Ability to adjust body position to bend, stand, walk, turn, and pivot
Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practice
